mere treason? that's pretty bad I don't think anyone was blaming the victims. I think the only thing being blamed was US policy. And it is ok to criticize US policy, even in this country. It wouldn't be much of a free country if we couldn't criticize US policy. IMO it is indecent to use the victims of a tragedy as an excuse to shut off free speech. So indecency may be in the eye of the beholder.
