Well that raises a good question. Who was worse? Stalin or Hitler? I read something about Churchill a few months ago; he pondered whether we slaughtered the wrong pig. In this case, we slaughtered the pig who chose war with us. I doubt Churchill spent much mental energy worrying about this while the war was on. When revolutionary Iran seemed in danger of overwhelming Iraq, we provided Iraq with limited assistance. What is the relevance of that today? I suppose you expected we should get thank you notes for arming Iran and Iraq at the same time? And how does that explain the relevance? Just sounds snitty.
