Breadth indicators such as BPs are difficult to read when they are not at extremes. We are in such a period so it is a case of being "not a major top" rather than a "signal to go long". The actual decision to go long at such times is made using sentiment indicators such as equity P/C and $VXN. Of course, if sentiment is fearful, and the breadth indicators are at lows, then the case to go long is much stronger, and Al would open more longs than today's solitary intraday trade.
