Dear Charles:

P3 & P4 have a 36 bit addressing bus but, most NBs only implement 32 bits. Besides, anything above
32 bits is "virtual" memory to almost all x86-32 code. EV6 could address >40 bits (64 bit RISC
Alpha uses it), so socket A already has the capability. Hammer starts with 40 bits physical and
48 bits virtual.
