IDT Introduces Industry's First 2.5-Volt Synchronous and Asynchronous Dual-Ports
Synchronous Dual-Port Family Extends Product Offering to Satisfy Demands of Communications Infrastructure Customers at a Price/Performance Point

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 2002-- IDT(TM) (Integrated Device Technology, Inc.; Nasdaq:IDTI), a leading communications IC company, today extended its dual-port product offering for the core and metro markets with the introduction of the industry's first 2.5-volt x8, x9, x16, and x18 synchronous and asynchronous dual-port devices. The lower-voltage extension of IDT's existing dual-port family enables designers to cost-effectively support applications where the reduction of power consumption is critical, such as wireless base station transceivers and controllers in the mobile network, without compromising system performance. IDT is also offering new, lower-density 3.3-volt and 5-volt synchronous dual-ports, extending its range of solutions at a variety of key price and performance points.
IDT's 2.5-volt dual-port devices deliver high-performance buffering, storage and bus isolation functionality in a space-efficient package, while consuming less power. The new devices are pin-compatible with previous 3.3-volt and 5-volt device iterations, thus facilitating a simplified transition for designs that require high-performance and minimal power consumption to prolong battery life and minimize heat generation, while consuming less board space.

Customers are able to select a shared memory resource from a breadth of performance, voltage and price options to meet the requirements of their specific design. The 2.5-volt products offer synchronous performance up to 83 MHz and asynchronous write cycles as fast as 20 ns. In addition to advanced performance and voltage features, IDT's 2.5-volt dual-port devices are available in a 100-pin TQFP package, as well as in a unique fpBGA package that offers significant space savings when compared to existing dual-port packing options.
IDT Enhances Robust Dual-Port Product Portfolio
IDT is also extending its existing dual-port product offering with x9 and x18 synchronous dual-port devices in 3.3-volt and 5-volt configurations. These devices feature up to 100 MHz clock cycle performance and are optimized for shared memory solutions such as storage area networks and network access applications. As a result of these introductions, customers have even more flexibility to select a shared memory resource from a breadth of performance, voltage and price options to meet the requirements of their specific design.
Pricing and Availability
IDT's 2.5-volt, 3.3-volt and 5-volt dual-ports are currently sampling with production quantities available in Q4CY02. Volume pricing of the 2.5-volt dual-port devices starts at $11.49 in 10,000-unit quantities. Volume pricing of the 3.3-volt and 5-volt synchronous devices starts at $14.56 in 10,000 unit quantities.
