yes u're right - Union Carbide.

The trial was in courts in a democratic country. If the defendant felt so, he could have shown up with his lawyers, and made his case. He chose not to.

Does the US not have a list of people 'judged guilty', who are outside the US, and who are fervently sought ?

American Business is in India big time. witness the Coke consumption, and the # of Fords you see on Indian streets, and dont forget the likes of IBM, HP etc. And theres even a few MickeyD's in India - they're marketed as 'fine dining' places, not like 'junk food' we do here... whatever works!

not to mention a gentleman called "Red Adair" (I think) that helped (for a fee) put out some major oil well fires- thanks to his expertise.
