Applied Materials recommendation.... The October issue of Mutual Funds, in an article titled (cover story), 12 stocks to buy now had ILA as the number 1 pick of Marty Whitman, the manager of Third Avenue Fund. Marty is a reknown bottom picker of stocks. Other picks were #2Applied Materials (AMAT),#3 Electro Scientific Industries (ESIO), #4Forest City Enterprises, #5 Radian Group (RDN), and #6 St. JOE (JOE). Jerome
