<Lets face it, Kumar, "Bakeesh" is a way of life in India. Court systems are all "Homer" to some degree, but the ones in India, etc, love to nail Foreigners. You get a better shake in American courts than anywhere else, IMO. >

- yes Baksheesh is a way of life in Asia. one needs to learn to live with it. Did Bernie Ebbers not get Baksheesh ? nor Ken Lay ?

- Courts in India are fair (like US courts). One has a bunch of legal avenues to pursue, like the US. Only difference : In India the time duration is longer.

I dont recollect an instance where the courts in India tried a case with the intent of "nail foreigners". If you have an example, let me know & I'm happy to research it.

BTW : The leader of the Indian Congress Party, (a major opposition party), is a lady who is a Naturalized Indian citizen, of Italian origin. show me a country that accepts that, at that level in the political pyramid.

cheers, kumar
