Dolinar,

In the November election, on the federal level all 435 Representatives are voted on, about 40 races are competitive, the balance are locked up for the incumbents. The GHP currently has a 6 vote advantage over the Democrats. It's possible that the Dems could take the House by a slim majority.

In the Senate, 34 seats are being contested (1/3 of all seats every two years, six year terms). Of these probably 6-8 races are competitive. I'm predicting that the Democrats will increase their majority to about 54-46 in the Senate. Based on how the wind is blowing, and not much else. <g>

The majorities won't be great enough, IMO, to insure an impeachment. But it sure would be nice. :)

PEACE NOW! Ray
