I made a mistake on the NTSB; I thought it came under the FAA, but it is an independent agency.

I'll agree that there are a lot of problems [too many to list] with this Administration regarding secrecy.

Now, normally, the Department of Justice is the agency we rely on for "discovery" and for the disclosure of facts in this country. In the matter of this lawsuit, we have the very curious situation where the Dept. of Justice is actively trying to suppress discovery:

In a civil litigation, normally the Justice Department wouldn't be involved. Quite honestly, there may be information that is not relevant and is security relevant. As such, I don't have a particular problem with the request [assuming it's an honest one]. However, I think it's important to verify that it's an honest request. I would hope, that the judge rules that he preview the material and passes whatever is relevant to the plaintiffs.
