I guess the discussion is moot, now that he has accepted unconditional inspections!
He's agreed to that before, but reneged. Hell, he agreed to inspections last year, but changed his mind again. So I am not in a partying mood about it just yet.
The biggest first question is, does he expect to go back to the way it was before, where the inspectors would roll up to a place and be kept outside while they could see things being carried out the back, loaded into trucks, and taken away before they could go inside? Because that dog won't hunt.
<digression>("That dog won't hunt" is a Southernism for that won't work, that is not acceptable. I get a kick out of reading Europeans trying to understand Bush's Southernisms. Apparently a lot of Yankees don't get them, either, like when Bush said Saddam was stiffing the world. In England, apparently this translates as being sexually aroused.
I use a lot of Southernisms, myself. Even after 22 years of marriage, sometimes my own husband, a Yankee, will ask me what I meant when I use one he's not familiar with. So I can imagine how hard it is for someone in another country to understand Bush at times. Tickles me pink. (Southernism for I enjoy it.))</digression> |
