I really think Al Michaels is a good influence on Madden far better than the Mother of All Bland -- Pat Sommerall You must be wearing your panties too tight again. Al Michaels is a know it all blow hard with a whiney nasel voice. (Much like myself) Pat Summerall has the perfect voice for football. It added drama to the the game. He's the Vin Scully of football perhaps. He knew to say just enough and then let John Madden run with it. If Michaels plays his cards right he will do the same. (It already appears he's doing that.) I was going to explain to Rose that it's possible that Madden does not appeal to the demographics of women from Canada. ABC tried to lure them in by adding flashy production and Dennis Miller. Little did they realize that the more they tried to add to the game the more they actually took away from it. Now their focus is closer to being back on allowing the sport to be seen as is. It no longer alienates the core group of people who follow the sport by filling it with fluff and glitter. I wasn't aware that ABC has alienated the few panty wearing, bed wetters of Pittsburgh. <vbg> Summerall was the best. I agree with you about Mussburger. I don't care for his game calling. He was better behind the desk at half time. So was Bryant Gumball... Look at that twit now. They should take one of those two and use them to replace Jim Nance on CBS's pregame show. What a bore. ...but then again, you probably think he's a cuty... <g> Jimmy Kimmel and the Weather Girl will keep Fox's show in first place. However, nothing comes close to ESPN's Post game show with Chris Bumblin' Stumblin' Berman. It's the best hour of the day on Sunday... -MaddensEyebrows P.S. Some trivia for you. Did you know that Pat Summerall's real first name is George? It's true. He earned the name Pat while he was a place kicker because he never missed the P.A.T. (Point after touchdown). P.P.S. Isn't there some tennis match you'd be better off watching? Or synchonized swimming? Just funnin' ya. I know deep down there's really a man inside ya.
