"Compliance costs alone run $200 Billion per year..."

You are more afraid of Federal deficits and I fear rogue madmen with stated hatred against the United States possessing, passing along and using weapons of mass destruction against us. Money is more important to you than American lives it seems. Or you like Saddam Hussein.

"tax code still favors the industries and individuals who have 'greased' the politicians the most, and burdens the middle class"

So the middle class is getting an unfair tax burden iyo? You are lock step with the demo position that the top 1% should pay more than the 25% or so of the tax bill they already are paying. How about if EVERYONE chips in instead of leaching off of people who already pay more than enough?

How many individuals do you know that have bribed politicians for a lower tax bill anyway? Statements like yours are based on ignorance or deiciept. It is an absurd assertion that bribery gets you a lower tax bill. But if you come across examples of it I will support conviction to the fullest extent of the law. For the taxpayer and the politician.
