According to the speaker at the luncheon I attended, the
companies that are going to get hit are those using coal
and those who will benefit from Kyoto will be NG.

I shoulda taken a tape recorder because the talk was
crammed with information. Such as Canada's agreeing,
complying with Kyoto is absolutely insignificant to the
overall problem. We are high users but our pop us so small
that the overall effect is minimal. China is burning "brown"
coal and the pollution from it is high plus the pop
is so huge that even if their per person use is smaller
than ours, it is much more significant. He gave the no.
of new cars on the road in China every month--I think it
was around 100,000--but didn't take notes. All the turmoil
caused by Chretin re Kyoto is over something absolutely
insignificant. As usual, we've got politicians in boy
scout suits wanting to lead the way in self-righteousness
even if their is no practical effect.
