Yes license revenue was expected to decline 25% and it declined 23% from last yr. License update revenues were up 9%. (funny... I thought major upgrades were included in licenses not maintenance)

New software license sales were $549 million, down 23%

Sales of the company's database and applications software are projected to fall from year-ago levels. Management had projected in June that software license fees would fall as much as 25 percent, from $711 million in the fiscal first-quarter last year. Most analysts still project software sales to fall about 20 percent, on average.
