They're trying to get the inspectors in there by the end of the month. The Russians and French, both of whom provided nuclear materials, are backing Iraq and trying to block a new resolution. Basically, an inspection regime under the old resolutions with minimal repercussions for Iraq as before. Russians lose a lot of face if their KGB trainee gets booted. nj.com The date for arranging the inspections is Sep 27. I was looking for a low near the end of the month. If the inspection regime gets started, this could drag on for another year before the presidential elections.
