I nonconcur, sorry. If they resign, Bush wins. He undoubtedly took great pleasure in the disarray that the anthrax attack created among the legislators. It enabled some sneaky executive orders and shenangigans to go unnoticed, and it frustrated Congress's will to try to resist and dissent from the Administration's agenda.

Bringing in a crop of freshmen legislator means the Congress becomes much more inept as it has to reclimb the learning curve. Allowing the Bushistas another opportunity to try to pull the wool over everyone's eyes.

Quite the shell game they're running back there.
