Easily amazed these days? Maybe you should refer him to some of the amateur mental health professionals that lurk on the thread. But they are pretty busy offering free, unsolicited psychiatric assessments these days (in addition to their fine medical opinions about the causative agents of kidney disease.) I'm surprised that the Kidney Foundation hasn't swept in and grabbed them up... Can the American Psychological Association be far behind?
