Too much has been said about Einstein in the past, and he's now reached Urban Legend status in the eyes of the young... {Like EC} It's said that nothing can move faster then the speed of light {in a vacuum} yet that has never been the truth, even way back in Einstein's time. The Correct saying back then was..."Energy can not move faster then the speed of light in a vacuum". Yet even Einstein's Elevator "thought" experiment in space disproves his own premise that the speed of light is fixed. The true nature of light is believed to be a wave that propagates both forward and backward in time. This gives rise to what is known as spooky action at a distance, and aids in the belief the Quantum Mechanics is the true form of science.
That a photon is a mass less enercle is a difficult concept to deal with. {I assume you meant particle and not enercle? lol Typo alert.
The concept of mass is a "particular" bad concept. Mass is a rest state of energy. And since the photons are seldom seen at rest, they can appear mass less. But under the extreme cold and inside a concentrate, it's believed that a photon speed can be brought to zero. If that is so, then what remains would be the rest mass of the photon. And it's possible for the rest mass to be of higher energy then the moving energy of the photon.
Einstein never could resolve gravity with electromagnetism.
Einstein's' claim to fame was the idea that light and velocities are not linear over space and time, and that the effects of one, corrupts the other. Although he may not have {resolved} the appropriate equations that conjoin gravity and electromagnetism, doesn't mean that others such as Klauza-Klein hadn't done it YEARS before Einstein considered it. Klauza theory leads into super symmetry and string theory... and is the basis for ALL justifiable directions leading into a unifying theory of everything.

MIE theory, an off shoot of Klauza theory under terms of relativity leads to the realization that PHOTONS or light creates and carries a gravitational field. And only Vectors of the same units can be added together. This is how Einstein received credit for predicting the curvature of light around such things as heavy bodies {I believe it was viewing a distance star during an eclipse that appeared in a different place then it was known to have been, because it was near the suns' viewing edge} But even looking at Einstein's work in making the prediction he was grossly off on both formula and accuracy. Which gives the impression that he was stealing someone else's work and adding his name to it. But under the shine of MIE theory is the equations that state, all energy gives off gravity waves. This is the equation that gives credence to those in the Sci-Fi community to believe in space ship etc. In deed, if one reads the theory, and understands it, it can be demonstrated quite easy that a collapsing Electro-magnetic filed within a wave guide, does create a NOTICEABLE gravity wave... In deed the realization that a artificial gravity field can be created, can lead to near light speed space crafts. Sram engines planned for the future {Mach 5+} are but the simplest of these types of engines. |
