Let me put it this way: everything matters, but not equally, and in life we have to let some things go. I know it is frustrating to have accusations launched and not to be able to resolve the matter fully, but I also know that most arguments are not worth eating up enormous amounts of time and energy over, especially on open threads, where it is disruptive and rude to those who have little interest in the question. The very fact that hardly anything of that sort gets resolved makes it more, not less, annoying to drag things out or keep coming back to them.

The following does not refer directly to your behavior, but to my general beef:

When one takes things like trying to get Karen to admit she is a "Leftist", when there is ample proof that that is an inaccurate charge, and, in any case, she is not going to do it, the reiterative aggression seems like harassment and bullying. Similarly, how long are we going to belabor whether X is a hypocrite because, like most people, she is not perfectly consistent? After awhile, and especially when it becomes a gang attack, it just seems mean. However mean she has been in the past, she has gotten so much flack for it at the time that it hardly seems necessary to interrupt a normal conversation to start in on her again.
