There is a very interesting article on the latest issue of NetworkMagazine, titled "Looking for Number Two."

networkmagazine.com

At the end of Page 2 and upper part of page 3, it has very positive comments about INAP's service:

THE REGIONAL WATCH

"With national ISPs going bankrupt, networkers need to look for alternative national and regional providers with competitive services and pricing.

To find out who these hot stars might be, we looked at the ISPs that respondents cited. Because these ratings are based on a minimum of five respondents and because we had to manually correct the various spellings respondents used for ISP names, (see Table 2),these ratings sacrifice statistical accuracy for street accuracy.

At the top of our write-in list was Internap (www.internap.com) .

The company is known for its unique Private Network Access Point (P-NAP) architecture, a network of private exchange points connecting multiple backbones. Internap claims its P-NAP design enables traffic to travel the fastest possible route across the Internet.

Despite Internap's financial troubles, its respondents gave the ISP high marks in every category. "It proactively reports outages and potential outage conditions, even off of its network," says one Internap customer. "It's very responsive to telephone inquiries or technical requests."

Had Internap met the 30-vote minimum, it would have won the customer service category with a whopping score of 79.80 percent and led in every category."
