Don't you think aggression is brain-caused?
Well, virtually everything is brain caused, so that's not a very helpful question, IMO.
Except that I remember reading somewhere that we have a second brain elsewhere in our bodies that controls involuntary actions. But I can't remember where I read it or what it said, and I may have dreamed the whole thing.
Or maybe not.
The new sciences of brain research are, IMO, fascinating. Lots of misleading information out there, lots of excessive conclusions drawn from limited data, but those are risks of any new, rapidly advancing branch of science which hasn't yet established its research principles soundly.
But I think the next 20 years will bring extraordinary advances in understanding the role of various parts of the brain.
Then, of course, there's the question what to do with the information. Depending on your viewpoint, that can be very exciting, or potentially terrifying, or both. |
