I have a copy of Morgan Stanley's research report by Steven Milunovich and he states that SUNW is a strong buy! This is dated May 9,96. He states that the UltraSPARC puts SUNW back in the chip performance game. Also innovations such as the crossbar switch,3D RAM, and Visual Instruction Set provide system differentiation. SUNW owns the $5,000 to $20,000 workstation segment and with Ultra2 can compete with HWP and SGI at higher price and performace points.
