you get them to not hate you..... I know that! Nobody hates Canadians. Nobody hates Australians. Nobody hates Kiwis. Why do they hate us? Is it because our women are too fat? We don't know which wine to drink with beef and fish? Do we belch in public? Do we have spinach on our teeth? But they miss us when we aren't throwing the dollars around, don't they? The Egyptians are mad as hell that we won't give them more money after they put a college professor in jail for seven years for insulting the government. Some of them are insisting that we stop giving them money at all. It's $2 billion a year, mostly to keep them from attacking Israel. $3 billion to Israel. sigh And the American taxpayer funds even more of the world. Is it too much to expect a little gratitude? Speaking of which, I read yesterday that global investing is down 50% from last year. Sent shivers down my spine.
