I believe the transgression is called overgeneralizing. Having said that, yes, there are a number of societal problems that can be linked directly to personal greed and people who are multi-millionaires trampling on other people so they can become multi-multi-millionaires. Stories of such have been in all the newspapers the past 20 years or so. Why, just the other day seven of the nine stories on the front page of the E-WSJ had to do with corporate malfeasance.
