I did get the impression that he had a religious affiliation from that; even though, by the time I heard about it the ministerial stuff had already been brushed aside. I just figured he was very religious and had stretched his qualifications. You can minister unto others without being a reverand. Remember bill clinton..."honey, I'm sorry that I'm late.
