OK, well just to clarify, what I was responding to was in reference to the backlog, and its return to non-bubble levels. (now my take on this, as someone in technology but not in comm equipment, is that there are no lead times on any kind of technology with this excess capacity we are experiencing, therefore nobody orders anything until they are ready to push it out the door).

The P/E and P/S are reflecting this pre-bubble reality already, imo- if you assume the bubble started in 1998 or so. The P/E is higher now than trough 94 levels, sure but then theres the cash position to think about. In 94 cisco had numerous competitors, and the landscape was only the enterprise business.

PS (unrelated) anybody remember general magic? They closed their doors today.
