I agree they must innovate, but any mechanic will tell you "if it ain't broke don't fix it". When designers concentrate on making things look "cool" it's because they don't have the creativity to innovate. Look at Herman Miller chairs, they look funky but they WORK. That "cool GENIE" crap isn't worth a nickle.

Btw, why doesn't your "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" attitude apply to MSFT who comes out with a new OS every 2 or 3 years? How many has MSFT created (or copied) so far? Let's see: DOS/1-7, Win/3.1, Win/95, Win/98, Win/Me, Win/NT, Win/2000, WinXP. Are they ever going to get it right????? |
