To make things worse, these issues (CSCO, DELL etc) were truly fantastic growth issue by then. Growing top and bottom line by 50% certainly deserves more premium than zero or negative growth.

And to top it all, low quality earning in a period of no earning visibility certainly asks for lower premium.


The bears have been short cisco for months. Every other stock on the naz it seems is hitting new lows and cisco can't break his. If cisco doesn't hit the mid-single digits in sept/oct I doubt it happens... the most common prediction I keep hearing is 6, thats a mkt cap of 45 billion with 20 billion in cash. Could happen, I guess, assuming the internet is maxed out.
