I'm not a Republican, as I've noted. The Constitution was shredded long ago, in many ways, and in MANY ways by Democrats, too. This economic disaster, as we've discussed before, had its beginnings prior to this administration, even you you wish, illogically I think, to hold it responsible for every bit of the downturn that has taken place since Bush took office.
I've no reason to believe the previous Administration would have more awake for 911 than the current one, there is plenty of blame to go around on this issue.
I doubt you can back up the statement that we have "finger pointed at every other nation." Highly unlikely, though perhaps all nations deserve some finger pointing indeed(including us, of course).
ABM's are defensive products. The only thing disgusting about them is the fact that they may be necessary weapons, if we are to survive.
