Good post Dan, glad you got off dissing me......The downturn was started by the explosion of the dot.com bubble......and the leadership should have realized that a great amount of work and effort was required to overcome the problem.......instead the Bush administration has poured gasoline on the economic meltdown.......and it will get much worse.......and it is their fault.....for ignoring the economy as the biggest issue on the agenda.....they have ignored the economy, placed solving the Israel/Palestine problem on the back burner.......and have created a new problem WAR with Iraq......this could easily have been addressed a year out after the other problems were addressed......WHY NOW...for political gain and shuffling the economic quagmire under the rug.....just in time for the elections........and if they get the Senate.......democracy is dead for a while......
