Dear Rich4eagle: I can understand your Lawyer comment but why rich Americans? I realize the truly wealthy probably pay LESS then a flat rate would be BUT I did their returns for years and the BS they gotta go through to achieve that is a PIA. I gotta believe that any REASONABLE flat tax would be accepted by all, especially if it had a fairly high starting point (say first $15,000 or so tax free) so as to avoid complaints by the unwashed masses. jdn
