You and the letter "X" seem very confused as to what persona means! Persona means "actor's mask". It was coined by Jung to describe the public image people project in society. Society demands many roles of people. The public image is the face one wears in society. It has nothing to do with any alternate names a person uses in society, nor was it coined with the internet in mind. It is primarily visual and observable. It is how people present their public image in the face-to-face world. It is how they act and behave in front of others. It is how you act with your grocer, and your dentist, and your banker, and the boys in the tavern. it is your public face. It is the roles you play in 3d. It is your title; it is your dress and manner.

It is quite fanciful to attempt to project it into the abstract world of SI where emphasis is on sharing of thoughts and feelings and where there is no social role to play, in that the social details are more or less concealed as a safety measure and to preserve ones private and family life from unnecessary intrusiveness.

If a person IS bringing their persona to SI, then it is even more of an admission that even more of what belongs to that person is being shared here! If such is indeed possible, then it is an admission that the person has sucessfully brought his public image over to SI! If the letter "X" is projecting her persona here then she is revealing exactly what she reveals in her community on a daily basis--her public face or image! You are probably both better off going back to the pretense that your alternate name is a biological entity...;-)
