Wayne. Thx for the input

about the climatic changes you've witnessed in Scotland over the years.

Roebear is does a lot of interesting work on weather and climate. On and off board we've both looked closely and discussed solar output as s major factor in the warming trend.

A few effete Left/liberal tree huggers may wet their pants when we energy veterans and old roughnecks use four letter words or point out that blaming climate changes on fossil fuels is more politics than science. But really think the answer is more likely in long term fluctuations in solar output which have occurred repeatedly as can be easily seen by looking at the geologic record and/or deep ice cores.

OT/BTW that book I'm reading about ancient and medieval warlords is quite good. Rather than putting the focus on Caesar, Charlemagne or Gengis Kahn who've had numerous books written about them, the author sheds light on some of the lessor know but important leaders of the celtic, gallic, germanic, Byzantine, and asian tribal invaders who've played a significant role their time. FWIW<g>

Regards,

Iso
