Richard,
There is an interesting void in the investment world where bargains may be lurking. The mutual funds with their monthly money inflows of billions of dollars focus on the big caps... the KO's, GE's, MSFT's, INTC's etc., leaving the microcaps alone. The "AOL crowd", as you put it, was burned by the IDID's, SEXI's, and a bunch of others... and some of these folks have now caught the big cap religion, going to the DELL's of the world... also leaving the microcaps alone. Thus those microcaps that really do get around to producing real earnings and revenue growth, these will eventually be rediscovered as their valuation reaches no-brainer bargain levels. Tough to predict when the emerging gems (the few that there are) in the ignored microcap world will be discovered.
