That's been the story for about the last 5 years. For businesses who are struggling, what they have is fast enough, especially when their sales and profits are shrinking. That's a hopeful thought, but imo, unrealistic. This mess is going to take a while to recover from. When folks are getting data on cellphones, why buy multi-million dollar networks? It seems there isn't a company in the US worth investing in right now.
Every statistic tells any contrarian to buy now, but it seems history isn't repeating itself. Put to call ratio was 1.2 something yesterday. VIX going higher. Bearishness out the ass. No trust in American corporate leaders seems difficult to overcome. Ellison and Chambers taking options out the ying-yang sitting there talking about sending dishonest execs to jail. Yet they've run two of the largest ponzi schemes in history. When will it end?
