They still sit there fat, dumb and happy, while their competitors are cutting back any way they can to prepare in case telecom ever has another leg up. What does this statement mean. Are you saying cisco is spending too much money and should conserve cash like say, ciena has to do (cien is losing money of course so they don't have much of an option). Or that cutting back r&d is the winning strategy now regardless? Cisco does continue to make strategic investments... for example they are still hiring for their supply chain, I know that. L
