...Yet another conspiracy to keep supply low to maintain the high prices. For the builders, what do they care? Why should they build more units to make the same amount of money?....

Nutzy, plain nuts.
Building is not for the faint of heart. It's liability upon liability. They're "lawyers" are running adds on tv for class actions against plastic pipe and composite siding. Asking anyone with a home built between X years to call and join the party. Calif just passed a law "sb800" to force condo associations to notify the builder of a problem BEFORE they file suite. "Just maybe we'll see some condo's going up again. There hasn't been many the past 10 years!" Green Peace runs around and supports open space which forces builders to fringe areas. NIMBY's are damn near out of control. It's so bad the state has stepped in and put it to the counties and they in turn are putting it to the cities to come up with some affordable housing or they will.
We have meet the enemy and they is us.
