Major test of July's low in progress. . . Delicate time for markets once again. If something were to cause us to burst through, we could be in for a long and rocky road ahead. If we hold firm, it could mean light at the end of the tunnel after all. Sort of like the Ground Hog's Day of the markets. . . once again. . . we've had several. This is not a good time to be on Orange alert. . . as a well timed attack on U.S. soil could send us into a sharp tailspin. Market not liking talk of war with Iraq either.

On the other hand, a string of good news (remember that?) coupled with a successful test of July's bottom could result in a nice near-term bottom. . . .IF we also see a burst of volume during a few follow-through rallies for confirmation. That would set up a MOABO bottom.

It is like teetering on a fence between a field full of bulls and a field full of bears. . . you are likely to fall into one side or another. . . but as you teeter, it is difficult to tell which it will be. One thing is for certain. . . whichever way we fall will likely be loaded with turkeys. . . of the WallGreed variety.
