Hi Flair,

I haven't forgotten about our dialogue. It is just that I hesitate to offer opinions on short-term market actions, for fear that my wrong-read may lead to non-productive investment decisions for others.

Next week is hard to call: so many wild cards out there, including the Greenspan factor. Among the 3 or 4 stocks whose LEAPS calls you are interested in, I would rate INTC the least risky for the short-term (days to 3 months). Long-term and intermediate term (6 months), they are all excellent choices.

Some reasoning:

CSCO==eps comes up in early August; Street would like to see solid numbers as other networkers have fallen short. Uncertainties. Stock is unlikely to move to the 80s before this happens.

LU==just announced an acquisition and will charge cost to 3rd quarter--amount unknown. Uncertainties. Lu also had a big run--almost vertical--in the past six weeks.

INTC==just overcame major hurdles and made a new 52 week high. Extremely bullish. All bad news are out and new products shipping with 0.25 process transition. Technical Option thread reports good, institutional $$$ flowing in last week.

MSFT==ranks 2nd in terms of near-term risk. Stock is heading higher, but more volatility possible as every analyst in town is throwing in his/her 2 cents re. MSFT's overvaluation.

A general consideration. If you already have a (LEAPS) position, you might want to wait till the "real correction" which I think might happen in the fall. If you wish to initiate new positions, you might want to do this in an incremental manner. That is what I do during times of high uncertainly.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Ibexx
