The FAA notified NORAD at 8:40A. The open line to the secret service came minutes later, it would seem, and just prior to the first hit @ 8:45. That there was a hi-jacking did not prove to anyone that America was under attack. Even after the first hit, exactly what was happening was not yet understood, hence the Secret Service would not have concluded let alone have been told, that America was under attack just yet. Bush could easily have heard of a single hi-jacked plane only, when speaking with Condoleeza, as NORAD itself had only been informed of the first hi-jacking at 8:40A, and of the second at 8:43A(likely moments prior to open lines being set-up to the Secret Service). At some point after 8:45 Bush arrived, and placed the call he'd apparantly been asked to make. Your story offers no informtion as to what news Condoleeza knew at that point(only of one hi-jacking?). Contrary to your information, at 9am(9:02 to be exact), there WAS television footage of the second hit appearing live on TV. Hence Bush could have easily seen the second crash live on the TV before entering the classroom, fitting exactly what he reported. Card informed Bush of the reality and connection between the hi-jackings and the crash(es) at 9:10.
There is no evidence of any lie here, that I can see. Just speculation from a biased source that doesn't necessarily fit the facts at all.
