I suspect that this is exactly the case. That we all have it wrong. In much the same way that the bull market built up everyone's self confidence, even if they weren't making a killing in the market, this bear market will provide a certain amount of humility to everyone.

Since I believe that everyone who is playing this market is going to be wrong eventually, the key to success will be the willingness to accept that they are wrong and to cut losses quickly. I had a similar conversation in PM with someone today. If someone is convinced that they have the key to the market, they are going to be pretty pissed off when somebody changes the locks.

I am in a reflective mood tonight. We must be near a bottom:-)
