Questions: Is MCRL a good business or is it a not so good business?

Why did MCRL's gross margin collapse over the past 8 quarters? Another why of asking the question: Why didn't LLTC's gross margin collapse over the past 8 quarters? Why is MCRL's fixed cost so high compared to LLTC?

Also, LLTC cut its SG&A aggressively over the past 8 quarters while MCRL's SG&A actually went UP! What's the CEO thinking (not cutting cost!)?

Those things bother me.

On a related subject ... the semi market feels like it's finally melting down. We can't see it clearly in the averages (because its market-cap weighted), but small/medium size stocks are in the process of melting down regardless of price (such as MCRL).

In the short term perhaps the most important factor is money-flow.

Money-flow into (tech/growth) mutual funds has halted (in fact reversed), these managers don't hold cash so they have no choice as stocks (such as MCRL) trend down.

The next few days/weeks will be very interesting.
