CME 'Network Issue' halts Futures Trading - resumed at 8:00am ET

A 'network issue' caused the CME to bring down its globex network and halt early trading in its products, including the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures.

William Burks, a spokesman for the CME, said the network was closed at 6:15 am and is expected to reopen at 8:00 am ET.

During the closure there was no trading in CME products
