"I can't see mice elf (sic) manning a polling station in San Diego Co. in a Democratic primary"...

When you go to the polls, there is a table with 4-5 workers, where you sign in, etc. They give you whichever ballot is appropriate, and when you finish, if they are paper ballots like up here, they throw them all in the same box. They are neither Dems nor Reps; they are working for the county for something like 25 bucks for a 12 hr. day. I think the parties can have observers there, but they sure don't run the show. You could stand 50 feet away from the polling station and pass out literature for your candidate if you wish to. Or do "get out the vote" stuff. The fact that there is a Democratic primary doesn't mean that the Republicans aren't voting at the same place, and in the same booths.

voting early and often, I remain, yers truly, Rat
