I just read the 98 article about Cook. Thanks for the link, Karen. My question continues to be when will the Bush administration make some credible evidence available that we are under an "immediate" threat, one that can only be dealt with via an invasion of Iraq. As for the 16 UN resolutions he had not fulfilled, I've seen some observations to the effect that most of them are of the sort that never get invasion threat invoked, on the level of the resolutions against the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza. The one, evidently, which is not is about wmd. If the Bush folk have evidence of something "immediate" there, my feeling is they should offer it up.
