Diane,
-OFF TOPIC, MOT-
I had this stock for a while, but decided to unload as it (1) didn't meet my criteria for core holdings; and (2) it is not lean, mean, and young enough to be a "special situation" or trading stock.
It is sad, as MOT has had excellent technologies and were unmistakenly pioneers in numerous areas. I think, to a large part, the company has failed to articulate a visionary strategy; and whatever strategic plans they did have, the management was not executing them with any sense of urgency. Nowadays, these elements--the successful implementation of such--are so essential for first-tier companies.
As to its status as a Wall Street darling, I am not so sure any more. Both of my brokers had luke-warm opinions about this stock, although I don't doubt that some investment advisors still push it as a trading vehicle of sorts.
Regards, Ibexx
PS: My other favorite wine is Jordan Cabernet. However, it is getting to be too expensive...more reason to invest in INTC. <g> |
