To be honest, i might have heard it there too. But smug is often an apt description of folks who think that because they have been right, they may always be right--indeed they have to be. Plenty of smug bulls back in 2000. Dylans "Like a rolling stone" addresses the effects of smugness well. The only saying i ever use is "what goes around comes around." I dont wish bears ill, but it is inevitable that the bears will suffer. mike
