Hi, jp!! I learned lots of interesting things about elephants, but I will talk about them later. This thread is groaning under the weight of my absolutely absent sense of humor about big animals being slaughtered at the moment, and I don't want to be responsible for tipping us all into a landfill or something!!! The fish thing that you didn't get was just something I found sweet and hilarious--fishermen kissing fish on the mouth before they throw them back, and getting bitten. Some people around here think I am way too serious! I think I'm NORMAL, actually, and I agree with Alexa that old fur coats are beautiful and should be enjoyed, since the animal already gave its life and nothing can bring it back. I guess the cat is back! Did she bring you a t-shirt that said something like my parents went to wherever and all I got was this crummy t-shirt? I hope they brought you something nice!! I hope you got the house clean. I spent the morning climbing around the Sutro Bathhouse ruins, and am sorry to say the poem has been mostly obliterated, probably by sandy windstorms wearing the paint off little by little. Maybe that's some kind of metaphor for your painful memories, too. Anyway, this is what is left!
