Frank, have you used the 995's manual focus for anything outside the table-top type shots (where one has control over distance and plenty of time)?

A couple of days ago this fine specimen walked across the path in front of me:

I did my best to lock the auto-focus on the heron rather than the leaves, but out of 10 shots, these are the "best." I'm sure I could have done better with an SLR. But I doubt I could have used the 995 manual focus in time, even if I could remember what to do (g).
